Ok, I'm back at the office and it's like I've never been gone. I was actually gone for 7 days, and no one even noticed. Well maybe a couple people. But I did go on a 25 minute walk this morning before work. Took the lab and the whippet, came back to the house and got the pomeranian and took her a hundred yards (she's old). Had 3 slices turkey bacon, cottage cheese and one egg for breakfast. The day started with a three hour staff meeting. And not to hold back everyone there spent fifteen minutes discussing what they wanted or liked to eat in the morning from every kind of yogurt, muffins, fruit, etc. I held back from the mini muffins and the yogurt and steadfastly drank diet green tea. I was starving by 11:00 a.m. At the end of the meeting I stayed as part of a party planning group for someone about to retire. So the next half hour was spent discussing hawaiian themed food, drinks, alcohol, desserts, food again, and more food. Later in the day I got an email for a restaurant cheeseburger lunch in honor of two birthdays which is planned for June 28th. I will be on a business trip that day so will let you know my alternate choices. As you might guess; my office is a hotbed of food planning (no pun intended) and you come here each day at your own risk. LOL
So as the work was hurled at me; I grabbed my meager tupperware container with 4 olives, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and a can of albacore tuna. and of course more diet green tea. It is now 4 p.m. and all I can think about is what I'm going to fix for dinner cause this is a protein day per the Dukan diet plan. Had my first veggies yesterday and so now I have to wait until tomorrow for more. Managed to survive a day wi thout my normal junk, cookies, potato chips, fast food etc. Need to come up with some creative ideas for legal finger foods. So one more day and then the weekend. It's supposed to hit 93 degrees so I definitely will be able to drink lots of fluids. Happy Thursday everyone!

I started this blog to motivate myself to lose weight for the final time in my life. Then I realized that many other people struggle with their weight and might get some ideas from this blog. Most diet web sites simply describe menus, exercise, etc. I will do some of that but the reality is I'm just like you and will struggle. I will say I chose the Dukan diet just because it happens to be the current rage, but I could easily have chosen the grapefruit diet (joke from the past).
